Teachers greet the children, allow the children to use the bathroom. Teachers speak with the children and parents about issues pertinent to their care for the day. Children choose and engage in independent or small group activities.

Preschool / PreK children can choose their own activities from choices such as the art center, science center, housekeeping, the building center, puzzles and dramatic play.

Preschool / PreK children have a bathroom break, wash hands and prepare for circle time.

Morning Circle consists of morning story-time, greetings, attendance, songs & music, poems, finger-plays, games, discussion of weather, seasons, colors, letters, numbers, people and places, introduction of a unit of study or new activities, stories, language development, etc.

Preschool / PreK have a unit study time. This consists of activities dealing with the unit of study (according to the curriculum plan). Children learn lessons individually and in small groups. Special projects such as art, cooking, show & tell and book sharing occur.

Preschool / PreK children have outdoor playtime. During outdoor activities, the children can run, jump and climb. They play with balls, ride bikes, jump rope or go on walks in the neighborhood.

Preschool / PreK have a second bathroom break and wash hands in preparation for lunch.

At lunch Preschool / PreK children talk and socialize. They can get their own food and feed themselves.

Lunch is followed by a story time with Language Development.

During naptime Preschool / PreK children lay quietly on their mats and listen to music and relax.

Clean up of blanket and mats / Bathroom Break & Washing Hands in preparation for dinner.

Preschool / PreK children have dinner and then there is a second outside activity time. The children go for walks, ride bikes, play basketball, hoola hoop, hop-scotch, play with sidewalk chalk and balls and other gross motor.

They have an afternoon story-time with language development.

Preschool / PreK follow-up on their unit study from the morning, complete projects and share them with their classmates.

Finally, the Preschool / PreK have free choice activities as they prepare for departure.
