FULL-TIME CAKE PACKER

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a committed, disciplined, and highly motivated candidate to join us as a Full-Time Cake Packer at our Central Kitchen production facility located in Jurong West.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of production and distribution. Every product delivered to the outlet must be packaged accurately, safely, and in accordance with company quality standards. Therefore, the Cake Packer’s role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the brand’s reputation.
The work environment is in a food production area that prioritizes cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork. The selected candidate will work within a structured system with direct supervision from the Supervisor and Production Manager.
WORKING HOURS AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM DETAILS
Primary Working Hours: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Overtime: Overtime may be required depending on production volume, seasonal demand, and daily operational needs. Overtime will be paid according to applicable regulations.
Training Period: New employees will begin work at 7:00 AM during the training period to learn work procedures, packaging standards, the order sheet system, and the distribution flow.
Work Schedule: 4 workdays followed by 1 day off (continuous rotation).
The work schedule includes weekends and national holidays.
Transportation Facilities: Transportation will be arranged or reimbursed for employees residing in the West area or those living close to Central Kitchen.
The advantage of the morning shift is that work ends earlier, providing a balance between work and life.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
Order Verification and Understanding
Read order sheets from various outlets in detail and accurately.
Ensure product type, size, variety, and quantity match requests.
Identify differences in orders between outlets to avoid distribution errors.
Confirm with supervisor any discrepancies in order data.
Product Packaging Process
Pack whole cakes, sliced cakes, and other bakery products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure packaging is clean, neat, and secure.
Avoid product damage during the packaging process.
Handle products carefully to maintain quality and presentation.
Labeling and Documentation
Accurately label products according to destination outlets.
Ensure label information complies with company standards.
Ensure packaged products are clearly identified to facilitate the distribution process.
Distribution Arrangement and Preparation
Arrange packaged products into shipping trays according to their respective outlets.
Group orders based on delivery schedules.
Ensure all orders are complete before dispatch.
Stock Management and Checking
Assist in monitoring the availability of packaging materials such as boxes, plastic, labels, and other supplies.
Report to supervisors when stocks are running low.
Assist in checking the number of products ready for shipment to ensure they align with production data.
Cleanliness and Compliance with Food Safety Standards
Maintain consistent work area cleanliness.
Clean workstations before and after use.
Dispose of trash according to established procedures.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
Use appropriate work equipment (e.g., gloves or other equipment).
Teamwork and Operational Support
Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily targets.
Assist coworkers when production volumes increase.
Carry out additional instructions from the Supervisor or Manager as needed.
Maintain good communication among team members to ensure smooth work flow.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
Work in a food production area with high hygiene standards.
The work environment can be cold due to the presence of chillers and freezers.
Candidates must be willing to enter chillers and freezers when necessary.
The job requires standing for long periods of time.
The work is physical and requires good stamina.
Moderate lifting may be required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Singaporean Citizens only.
No previous work experience is required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
