Professional catering companies that serve various types of events throughout Singapore are currently opening opportunities for candidates who have high work commitment, discipline, and are able to work in an active and dynamic operational environment to join as Event Catering Assistants.
This position has an important role in supporting smooth operations before, during and after the event. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for ensuring all catering equipment, buffet arrangement, and logistics processes run according to company standards.
This vacancy is open to candidates without previous experience as training will be provided. Very suitable for students, fresh graduates, individuals who are looking for work experience in the hospitality industry, or job seekers who want to earn income based on working hours with a flexible schedule system.
COMPENSATION DETAILS AND SALARY STRUCTURE
Base Salary: 15 Singapore dollars per hour
Overtime: 22.50 Singapore dollars per hour
National Holidays (Public Holiday): 30 Singapore dollars per hour
Final income will be calculated based on the number of hours worked each week. Candidates who have more time available have the potential to earn a higher total income through additional overtime hours or assignments on national holidays.
Payments are made in accordance with company regulations and follow labor regulations in force in Singapore.
WORK SYSTEMS AND PATTERNS
• Scheduled 4 to 6 work days per week
• Work duration 6 to 12 hours per day
• Operational hours are between 08.00 to 23.00
• Work schedule follows the needs and time of event implementation
Each working day starts from the head office in Tai Seng, where the team will have a short briefing before departure. After the event is over, the entire team must return to the head office for the dismantling process, checking inventory, and storing equipment.
Because the work is event-based, time flexibility and readiness to work on weekends or certain days is needed.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Event Catering Assistant, you will be directly involved in various stages of catering operations, including logistics, setup, and dismantling of equipment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and Loading
• Help prepare and load food, drinks and catering equipment into company operational vehicles
• Ensure all equipment is in accordance with the delivery list
Delivery and Setup on Location
• Follow the driver to the event location
• Unload equipment from vehicle
• Arrange buffet tables, food heaters, eating utensils and other supporting equipment according to company presentation standards
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the area before guests arrive
Support During Events
• Assist the operational team when necessary
• Ensure food and equipment remain well organized
• Maintain professionalism and polite attitude towards clients
Disassembly and Return
• Disassemble all equipment after the event is over
• Load all items back into the vehicle
• Clean the work area according to procedures
• Return to head office for final processing
Candidates must be able to lift and handle loads up to 20 kilograms and work in a team effectively.
