Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated, responsible, and highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. This role plays an important part in supporting daily operations, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety compliance in accordance with applicable regulations.
As part of the operations team, the Kitchen Assistant will work in a coffee shop or food stall environment with a dynamic and fast-paced workflow. The selected candidate is expected to work systematically, efficiently, and consistently while upholding company standards.

Key Responsibilities and Scope of Work
1. Food Preparation and Handling
Prepare raw ingredients by washing, cutting, peeling, and weighing according to standard operating procedures.
Ensure food ingredients are stored at appropriate temperatures and conditions in compliance with food safety standards.
Apply the First In, First Out (FIFO) system in managing raw materials.
Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
Minimize food wastage through proper handling and portion control.
2. Kitchen Operational Support
Assist in cooking and food preparation under the guidance of the Supervisor.
Prepare and organize kitchen equipment before and after operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area during operating hours.
Support smooth kitchen workflow, especially during peak hours.
Ensure customer orders are prepared according to company quality and timing standards.
3. Inventory and Stock Management
Conduct routine stock checks of ingredients.
Report shortages or replenishment needs to the supervisor.
Assist in ordering raw materials when required.
Support simple inventory recording and tracking.
Contribute to cost control through efficient use of ingredients.
4. Cleanliness, Hygiene, and Food Safety
Clean kitchen areas, workstations, equipment, and utensils according to cleaning schedules.
Ensure all food hygiene procedures are followed in compliance with regulations.
Adhere to food safety standards set by relevant authorities.
Use proper work attire and protective equipment in accordance with safety standards.
Dispose of waste according to established procedures.
5. Compliance with Operational Procedures
Follow the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Comply with company policies regarding attendance, uniform, and professional conduct.
Participate in internal training programs provided by the company.
Contribute to maintaining a professional and respectful work environment.
6. Additional Duties
Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by management based on operational needs.
Assist team members during high-demand situations.
Be willing to work at different outlets when required by the company.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
Preferably holds a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Prior experience in the F&B industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
Willing to work in a coffee shop or food stall environment with high work intensity.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Willing to work on a shift schedule.
Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required.
Honest, disciplined, and responsible.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Possesses good communication skills and professional attitude.
Committed to maintaining cleanliness and food quality standards.
Working Hours
Shift-based working system.
Schedule determined according to operational requirements.
For part-time positions, schedules may be discussed and adjusted based on availability.
Working days may include weekends and public holidays.
