About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our cleaning operations team at Changi Airport, specifically at Terminal 1 and Jewel. Changi Airport is globally recognised for its exceptional cleanliness, service quality, and passenger experience. As part of the cleaning team, you will play a vital role in upholding these high standards.
This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining cleanliness, are physically active, and are comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced environment. Cleaners are essential frontline staff who ensure that facilities remain hygienic, safe, and presentable at all times.
Key Responsibilities
The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in assigned areas within the airport premises.
1. Washroom and Restroom Cleaning
Perform thorough cleaning and washing of toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, walls, and floors.
Ensure that washrooms remain clean, dry, and free from unpleasant odours.
Disinfect high-contact areas such as door handles, flush buttons, taps, cubicle locks, and hand dryers.
Conduct routine checks throughout the shift to maintain consistent cleanliness levels.
Remove stains, watermarks, and visible dirt promptly.
2. General Cleaning Duties
Sweep and mop floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly.
Wipe down surfaces, ledges, and fixtures.
Maintain assigned cleaning zones in accordance with established schedules.
Support additional cleaning tasks during peak hours when necessary.
3. Replenishment of Supplies
Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Monitor consumable stock levels in assigned areas.
Report low stock levels to supervisors in a timely manner.
Ensure dispensers are functioning properly.
4. Reporting and Compliance
Report maintenance issues such as leaking pipes, faulty lighting, damaged fixtures, clogged drains, or broken equipment.
Follow strict hygiene and safety guidelines set by Changi Airport Group (CAG).
Comply with workplace safety procedures, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Attend safety briefings and training sessions when scheduled.
5. Professional Conduct
Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
Demonstrate courtesy when working in public-facing areas.
Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members.
Follow assigned schedules and complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
Working Environment
Work location is within Terminal 1 or Jewel at Changi Airport.
The role requires standing and walking for extended periods.
Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and frequent movement.
Environment may be busy, especially during peak travel seasons.
Staff will be assigned specific zones and must ensure consistent upkeep.
Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long hours.
Able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
Comfortable handling cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Reliable, punctual, and disciplined.
Committed to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to work a 6-day schedule and rotating shifts.
Able to follow instructions carefully.
Prior experience in housekeeping, conservancy, or cleaning services is an advantage but not mandatory. Candidates without experience will receive on-the-job training.
Training and Support
Orientation and basic cleaning procedures training will be provided.
Safety training will be conducted to ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
Supervisors will provide guidance during the probation period.
Continuous performance monitoring and feedback will be given to maintain standards.
Salary and Benefits
Basic Monthly Salary: $2,100 – $2,300
(Inclusive of allowances and benefits)
Annual Bonus:
Equivalent to 2 weeks’ salary after completing 1 year of service.
Bonus will be pro-rated if applicable.
Annual Leave:
7 days in the first year.
Increases by 1 day per year of service.
Maximum entitlement up to 14 days.
Probation Period:
3 months.
Employment Stability:
Permanent full-time position upon confirmation.

6-Day Work Week (Monday to Saturday)
Available Shifts:
Morning Shift
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Afternoon Shift
3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Night Shift
10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Shift arrangements may be discussed during the interview. Fixed shifts may be considered subject to operational requirements and availability.
