Shasia Willis

Executive Director

Little Magic Moments Academy was established in 2017. The Founder and Director of LMMA, Shasia Willis, is directly involved in and responsible for overseeing the operations, scheduling and programming of the center. Although this center is new, Ms. Willis has over 25 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field and in social services. She has held various positions that directly relate to the work that she does at LMMA. These positions include administrator and teacher in several early childhood programs and case manager working with teenagers and young mothers in programs for delinquent youth. Ms. Willis first became interested in opening a child care center after many years of dissatisfaction with the quality of care and education that was received by young children during her time as a teacher.

Ms. Willis is a member of several professional organizations including NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), DVAEYC (Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children), ASCD (The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development).

Ms. Willis completed her business training at WORC (The Women’s Opportunity Resource Center).
The curriculum included training in all aspects of small business administration such as management, marketing, financial planning, savings, asset development and research.

Ms. Willis received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from Temple University in Philadelphia. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership at Wilmington University.

Ms. Willis has a team of professionals that help her run the center including an administrative assistant, assistant teachers, lead teachers and other important people that provide support services at the center.

Tyra Young

Director

Hello,

My name is Tyra Young, I am serving as the Director of Little Magic Moments Academy. Although this position is new, I have served 10 plus years working in the education field serving children of all ages. I received my Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University and my Masters of Education from Wilmington University. I will work closely with Ms. Willis to oversee the center’s operations, scheduling and programming. My mission and goals are to ensure the safety of your child, as well as make sure all milestones and educational needs are being met. I am happy to be a part of this family! Thank you!

Octavia Brooks

Teacher

My name is Octavia Brooks. I have 5 years experience working with children of all ages. My interest in caring for children deepened as I began my studies in psychology. In this field of study, I learned of the different stages of life from infancy up into elderly earning an associates in Psychology. Currently working on achieving my bachelor’s, I am putting what I learn everyday about children’s individual development to ensure of the right nurturing techniques for your child’s development. I look forward to being an aid in the rearing of your child. Thank You!!

Anita Radcliffe

Teacher / Supervisor

Hello Families; My name is Anita Radcliffe, I serve in a supervisory position at Little Moments Academy. I have been working with Ms. Willis since the beginning of 2014 at several of her daycares and I have been in the daycare field for a total of 14 yrs. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, as well as interacting with the parents. My ultimate goal is to assist, in any capacity, with the growth and development of the children we care for!!

Robert Young

Hello my name is Robert Young. I am new to the childcare field and I am learning a lot already! So far, I love working with children and I enjoy being part of Little Magic Moments Academy. Since I have been working at the center the children have put a smile on my face each day.
